NASA has revised the remaining Shuttle mission target launch dates. The schedule as of now includes toe following launches this year:
- 8Oct08, 0130 EDT - STS-125, Atlantis - HST Servicing Mission
- 10Nov08 2128 EDT- STS-126, Endeavour - ISS Starboard SARJ servicing
If they launch on schedule the Shuttle should be visible at MECO as it flies SE of NY Harbor.

The Moon was going behind a tree and although I might have moved a little more to the left and observed a little longer there wasn’t much margin in it since the sky that low was getting murky, the Moon would soon also be setting into a building, and I would have been looking directly into an area light.
