I am in Baltimore this week. Both yesterday and today I saw the Moon rising over the Inner Harbor from the van as we left the convention center. It looked very different down here. It appears to be very large, being low on the horizon, but more than that the darkened eastern limb looks very flat.

I had a few satellite events to try to observe from here and had hoped to get to see some of the more southernly constellations that we can't see from home but we are not getting out of the boat show and through with dinner until nearly midnight so I am not getting any observing done.
