The NASA web site now says that their soft launch date is 24Jan08 but will be adjusted as work progresses one the ECS sensor pass-through connector. In the article they first make it sound like they aren't sure the connector is what is causing the problem but at the end of the article they say they are sure it is where the problem is. It sounds like the entire fitting will be replaced with the wires soldered to the pins on both sides of it. This is supposed to be done by 10Jan08 so they must be able to do the inside work without baking the stack back to the VAB.
