29 October 2009
I just checked on my Birthday Star and it has changed, again. It is in the right hemisphere and high enough in the sky in the evening and it is just bright enough to be seen without optics. It is δ Equulei, the mouth of the pony and shines at Mag 4.47. The light from this star takes 6.28 ly to reach earth so it is actually a little farther away from earth than my age right now, or will be for a while, but it the closest match the database has. And at least it is something I can see this time.
