Target Orion’s S Constellation Ori Category Asterism Time yyyymmdd.hhmm 2010 EST Statistics Location Stellarium graphic Comments I saw this asterism mentioned in the Feb10 issue of Sky and Telescope and since it was clear out and I had my binocular I decided to give it a try. It is in the Belt of Orion, itself an asterism, and snakes between Alnilam and Mintaka. Some of the stars are faint enough that they were hard to make out in this light-polluted location. Interesting but will not make a must see list.
